Our Coffee Commitment
Sourcing
We source green coffees from a wide range of producers located in all reaches of the world to procure an equally wide range of exceptional coffee qualities.
Direct Trade
We visit, build relationships with and buy coffee from the same farmers season after season. The benefits of this are we get access to the best coffees from these Farms, which often win their country's Cup of Excellence® competitions. We get transparency to confirm good practices are happening at the farm level and our pricing agreement ensures the money paid goes into the hands of the farmer.
Roasting
We roast by traditional means; using well-established roast profiles on a classic cast-iron drum roaster. We are steadfast in our commitment to the craft of roasting, hands-on, with a roast-master monitoring the development of each batch to achieve a very consistent (and delicious) final product.
Freshness
Roasting begins first thing in the morning with most coffees shipping the same day or the next. We carry a limited finished goods inventory, with most of our coffees being roast-to-order.
Quality
Our focus is on quality. We source coffees that meet our high standards of quality, blend them (or not) and hand roast. We believe that artisanal endeavors require a hands-on approach.
Delivery
Product ships Monday through Friday, utilizing a combination of shipping methods and couriers to ensure our customers receive their orders on time.
Our Coffees
Our coffees are available in 4 oz, 12 oz, 2 pound and 5 pound sizes, with whole bean and ground options.
Our Roasting Facility
All coffee is produced at the Zoka Coffee Roasting Facility in Bellingham, Washington.
